A fun and little travelled route.
As the road on the other side of the lake is better,
this side sees little traffic, but has much more
fun corners, bends, ups and downs. Just be careful around some of them.
Along the route there are lots of beautiful old farms,
some look li...
Good route on the East coast of Randsfjorden
(Rands Lake) just North of Oslo. It is a very nice
day-trip to do both East and West Coast of the lake in one day.
Very nice & twisty road in the mountain area on the border
between Sweden & Norway.
On the way from Sälen to Trysil you will pass
a number of wellknown Swedish & Norwegian skiing resorts.
Therefore, in the winter time it is crowded - but
in the summer...? Just gas it - not much trafic w...
This route is mostly for those who travel South to North
(or vice versa) and want to avoid E6 (which is fast, but
really really boring motorway).
The E4 is much more pleasant, but has a couple of
drawbacks:
- It is HEAVILY policed, so do not speed unless you are
willing to pay up, ...
Flott tur med svært variert veg. Alt frå sving i sving i skogen til lange beinstrekk og 'høgfjell'
Mindre deler av vegen nyt ein best på endurosykkel. Men det aller meste vil eg tru er kjekt for dei aller fleste
It,s a great ride thrue some of The best parts of Norway. Some of The roads are just open in summertime. For The best ride take This ride in june- August. Have a spectacular ride.
Through the forest, along lakes and creeks, past farms.
Not a lot of traffic, but the few cages you meet drive like maniacs.
Most of all this is a great route for scraping your pegs.
A favourite route, when I have the time.
It starts out along the scenic Hurdal lake,
and goes up a great valley, with lots and lots of corners.
If you do it the other way (down) be gentle with your brakes,
so that they dont overheat.
A great alternative to the much more travelled routes between Oslo and
Trondheim (E6 or E3). Basically, a diversion from the E6.
At Ringebu take off up the hill to the East (left).
Soon you are on the naked mountain, with great vistas to behold.
Fabulous mountain route, with many many great views. Check out the Besseggen ridge, if you have the time to hike it http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Besseggen
Along the route there are many good hotels and lodgings. If you prefer, you can stay in supercharming mountain-lodges, such as B...
Rv63 Dalsnibba Oppland/Hedmark ..., Norwegen August 9, 2010 - 5.0
Superb mountain crossing, only open during the Summer months. Do yourself a favour and take time for the detour up to Dalsnibba peak, for panoramic views.
The clean and fresh mountain lakes look inviting, and probably would be if they were a bit warmer or if you
e an ice-swimmer.
Great way to avoid the boring E6 through Trondhjem. Takes you past the Selbu lake (where a great historic hotel is situated), and up towards the city of Røros (Unesco World heritage site).
