This 330km route that follows the water, offers truly spectacular views of some of the most out of the way places and offers plenty of twists thanks mostly to the elevation changes Starting in Glenorchy (itself a place of stunning natural beauty, part of it featured in ‘The Lord Of The Rings’ films), this amazingly scenic road first leads to the resort town of Queenstown, then continues to follow Lake Wakatipu closely before reaching Devil’s Staircase and Kingston. The joining road via Mossburn is pleasant riding and this takes us to Te Anau and back to the edge of the Fjordland National Park. The SH94 to Milford Sand is simply a joy. One of the best motorcycling roads anywhere. The combination of good road, spectacular views and nice curves is simply a winner.
